BreakLine Transition Program
The goal of every transitioning servicemember or veteran is to start a new career in the civilian world. Despite their experiences, they have uncertainties about how to transition into a civilian career.
A few years ago, the path of the transition process included using a military headhunter and going to school. Today, there are several innovative internships and transition programs to help veterans get in the game. For Veterans looking to catch your big break in the tech industry, you should check out a transition program called BreakLine.
“Oh, no, another transition program to learn about,” you may be thinking. But there’s no need to get frustrated because the military to civilian resume writing professionals at Empire Resume have you covered. We’ll talk about:
- What is BreakLine?
- What Veterans Can Expect from BreakLine

- The BreakLine Application Process

What is BreakLine?
BreakLine prepares veterans, women, and people of color for a career in tech. The program has three different tracks. For purposes of this article, we’ll focus on the veterans track.
BreakLine Veterans is a track within the program designed for military veterans and transitioning service members. It helps them “pivot into compelling careers in the tech industry.” The military transition program achieves this through their targeted approach including:
- Interactive learning
BreakLine team and partners lead hands-on workshops and provide
in-depth industry insight.
- Mentorship
BreakLine’s team of experts coaches participants on their career search, from identifying opportunities to accepting an offer.
- Community
Participants have the opportunity to build relationships with BreakLine alums and industry leaders.
- Interviews
Qualified participants are invited to interview for open positions with BreakLine’s partner companies.
BreakLine provides virtual education and coaching for exceptional, high-performing veterans who are interested in joining the tech industry. Their education is designed to help you successfully land a role in tech and build your professional network.
Want to know the best part? You don’t need to have tech experience! What BreakLine wants is for you to have a passion for the tech industry and the drive to make the most of the opportunities BreakLine provides.
What Can Veterans and Transitioning Military Expect From BreakLine?
You can expect to work closely with BreakLine’s team to build a pipeline of opportunities across their partner companies like Adobe, Logitech, Meta, Tubi, and many more!
The BreakLine team will guide you through the transitioning process from resume reviews to sourcing relevant roles, to interview prep, until you land and accept a role at a top tech company.
Cohorts begin every week. Each session includes hands-on workshops, in-depth discussions with industry leaders, and an inside look at top tech companies.
They walk alongside you every step of the way! And as they say, “Once a BreakLiner, always a BreakLiner!”
For many BreakLiner alums (called BreakLiners), the BreakLine Veterans program is a life changer. During your education you’ll walk away with:
- Tech fundamentals
You’ll have the foundation you need to build a career in tech.
- Industry insight
You’ll gain insight into the tech industry so you can hit the ground running.
