Number #2 – Not a resume mill     


Every one of those companies that gloat about the number of resumes they’ve completed or how many writers they have are called “resume mills.” Why does this matters to you? It matters because when you contact one of these companies you will initially be dealing with a call center of people who don’t actually write resumes or offer career advice; rather, they will collect your money and “assign” your order to a contracted remote resume writer who receives a fraction of the fee. How motivated is a resume writer to perform their absolute best when they only receive a fraction of the fee you paid?

Number #3 – Office location     


Next time you call another resume/career services company ask if you can come in to meet face-to-face. Most companies listed online are entirely remote and only have a physical location for a call center. The resume writers are typically contracted remote employees dispersed throughout the country and may even work internationally. Although a majority of our clients conduct their business via phone and email, any client is more than welcome to schedule an appointment with us to meet face-to-face.
